Sticks, Stones & Words Will Break Our Bones

Who said that words don’t hurt? Why aren’t we being honest with our children about the deep, long term impact of emotionally-charged, mean words?

In the “real world,” words, fact or fiction, ruin reputations, compromise financial wellbeing, and can have irreparable, long term damage.

The first agreement in, The Four Agreements, is to be impeccable with your words. Impeccability begins with how we speak to ourselves.

Words can hurt. Words can have real-time impact. But the power of the words someone uses against you should never have more power than the words you speak to yourself. I guess the saying is correct, and words can never hurt the healthy version of me.

May you stay unbothered and blessed.
