In a cultural moment demanding both authenticity and action, entertainer and organizer Cole Williams stands at the intersection of sound and service. As founder of the Greater New Orleans Citizens Relief Team, Williams continues hands-on organizing with the unhoused community across New Orleans—advocacy that is not performative, but spiritual.
The original prayer to a Divine Mother who loves us.

I remember the last time we saw each other in 2022. You’ve always made me feel at home and accepted and respected. You were the first person to not only see me, but hear me. Hear my voice, my experience, my contributions.
In retrospect, I think you knew that might be our last time together in this world. And you continued to encourage me, and push me like you always have. I’m honored that I was your student. I’m the woman I am today because of you.
